In 1871 Chua defines a basic passive electrical element, calling it the missing circuit element. Which makes it the forth element along the resistor, the inductor and the capacitor. Till the 2008 there has not been a successful physical realization of it, when in the laboratories of Hewlett-Packard under R. Stanley Williams supervision his team manages to produce it.
From the point of creating the memristor, it has explained many phenomenons in physics, technology and biology.
The memristor is a nonlinear element with a very specific I-V curve called pinched hysteresis loop. And I have tested different input signals to analyze the modification of the I-V curve and also I have tested the behavior of the memristor in several basic circuits.
